This market refers to the Counter-Strike Round 4 match between ALKA and Blitzkrieg in the CCT South America Series 3 Group Stage, initially scheduled for July 3 at 6:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "ALKA" if ALKA win the match against Blitzkrieg. This market will resolve to "Blitzkrieg" if Blitzkrieg win the match against ALKA. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate distributed trader beliefs in real time. For esports events like this one, prediction markets may respond faster to roster changes or recent performance data, whereas sportsbooks adjust more cautiously to manage liability. Comparing the two can reveal where informed traders see value relative to conventional betting lines.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares, with the current price reflecting the aggregate belief about which team will win. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more capital flowing into one outcome, the higher its price climbs; conversely, doubt or new information can push prices lower. This continuous price discovery mechanism means odds update instantly as new data emerges, whether from team announcements, recent match results, or shifts in player availability before the match begins.
This market resolves around Jul 4, 2026, once the match concludes and the winner is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which team wins the best-of-three series under the official CCT South America Series 3 Group Stage rules. Resolution occurs after the final map is played and the result is confirmed through official tournament reporting or broadcast records, ensuring accuracy before payouts are distributed to winning traders.
Key catalysts include roster announcements or player substitutions, recent head-to-head match results, and performance trends in prior CCT rounds. Injury or availability news for key players can shift odds significantly, as can coaching changes or tactical adjustments revealed in practice. Pre-match interviews, team statements, or betting line movements from major sportsbooks may also influence trader positioning. Map pool announcements and historical performance on specific maps are additional factors that could trigger repricing before the series begins.
