PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Forfeit and walkover resolution differs between Limitless (pays declared winner) and Polymarket match winner (resolves 50-50 for pre-match forfeits). Map-level and total games markets on Polymarket have additional nuanced forfeit handling.Hero tip: If you anticipate a forfeit risk, Limitless offers clearer payout certainty (declared winner wins), while Polymarket's match winner market introduces 50-50 ambiguity for pre-match withdrawals. Map markets and totals on Polymarket have specific forfeit rules—review each carefully. Cross-platform arbitrage may exist if forfeit probability is priced differently.

Critical divergence points:

  • Limitless: Match winner (Acend vs Sharks) resolves to the declared winner in all scenarios including forfeit, disqualification, or walkover, regardless of match start status. Quote: 'If either team loses by forfeit, disqualification, or walkover for any reason, this market will resolve to the team declared the winner.'
  • Polymarket (Match Winner): Match winner resolves 50-50 if the match ends in forfeit, disqualification, or walkover before play begins (team withdraws before start). However, if match begins and one team wins due to opponent forfeiture/disqualification/walkover, it resolves to the winning team. Quote: 'If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50.'
  • Polymarket (Map 1 & Map 2 Winners): If the match begins but is not completed and the specific map is concluded with a winner, it resolves based on that map. If the map is not completed, it resolves 50-50. If match is canceled or delayed beyond 7 days without play, it resolves 50-50. No explicit pre-match forfeit clause.
  • Polymarket (Games Total: O/U 2.5): If match begins but is not completed and one team wins due to opponent forfeiture/disqualification/walkover, it resolves 50-50. If match ends due to clinching map being forfeited, it counts as completed. Maps won by forfeit/disqualification/walkover count toward total if match is completed.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market refers to the Counter-Strike Upper bracket final match between Acend and Sharks in the Super DraculaN Group A, initially scheduled for June 25 at 11:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "Acend" if Acend win the match against Sharks. This market will resolve to "Sharks" if Sharks win the match against Acend. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Limitless

This market refers to the match between Acend and Sharks in the Super DraculaN Season 1 2026, scheduled for Jun 25, 2026. This market resolves to "YES" if the team named in the title wins in the specified match. Otherwise, the market will resolve to "NO." If either team loses by forfeit, disqualification, or walkover for any reason, this market will resolve to the team declared the winner, regardless of whether the match has started or when the decision is made. If the match is not completed with an official result by July 25, 2026, 23:59 UTC, the market will resolve to "Other."

Frequently asked questions

Prediction markets like Polymarket operate on peer-to-peer trading rather than fixed sportsbook lines, meaning odds shift continuously as traders buy and sell shares. Unlike traditional sportsbooks, which set odds to balance liability, prediction markets aggregate distributed beliefs—often reflecting sharper, real-time consensus on esports outcomes. Sportsbooks typically adjust lines to manage risk; prediction markets adjust through supply and demand. For this matchup, comparing the current market prices to your preferred sportsbook can reveal value opportunities if you spot meaningful discrepancies between the two pricing mechanisms.

Polymarket and Limitless can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts different trader demographics, liquidity pools, and fee structures, which naturally creates price variations. Polymarket, with significantly higher volume on this event, may reflect deeper liquidity and tighter spreads, while Limitless may see lighter trading and wider bid-ask gaps. Platform-specific rules, withdrawal policies, and user bases also influence how quickly new information gets priced in. Arbitrage traders sometimes exploit these gaps, but transaction costs and platform friction often prevent complete convergence, leaving room for legitimate price discovery differences between venues.

Team roster changes, player substitutions, or last-minute lineup announcements can shift odds significantly before the match begins. In-game momentum—map wins, economy advantages, and tactical adjustments—will drive price swings during live play. Injury reports, recent tournament performance, and head-to-head records also influence trader sentiment. Broadcast commentary and analyst predictions may sway retail traders, while professional bettors often react to map bans and early round outcomes. Unexpected upsets in related tournaments or changes to game patches affecting weapon balance can also create volatility in this market leading up to resolution.
