PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Kalshi and Polymarket share identical resolution sources (HLTV.org primary, credible consensus secondary), matching edge-case handling for cancellations, delays, forfeits, and incomplete play, and aligned market-specific logic for match winner, individual maps, totals, and handicap.

Primary resolution logic:

Official HLTV.org reporting; credible consensus reporting (including video evidence) if HLTV does not publish within 2 hours of event conclusion

Core resolution logic:

  • Match winner resolves to the team that wins the best-of-three series (first to 2 map wins)
  • Individual map winners (Map 1, Map 2) resolve based on the winner of that specific map if it is completed
  • Total maps market resolves Over if 3 or more maps are played, Under if fewer than 3 maps are played
  • Map handicap resolves to Acend if Acend wins 2 or more maps than Omega; otherwise resolves to Omega
  • Maps won by forfeit, disqualification, walkover, or default count toward all market outcomes provided the series is completed
  • If match begins but is not completed and one team wins via opponent forfeiture/disqualification/walkover during play, that team is credited the win

Edge cases & Clarifications:

  • Cancellation or No Play: If the match is canceled entirely or delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without any play beginning, all markets resolve 50-50
  • Pre-Match Forfeit or Walkover: If the match is forfeited, disqualified, or ends in a walkover before the match begins (team withdraws before start), all markets resolve 50-50
  • Incomplete Map: If a map begins but is not completed for any reason, that map-specific market resolves 50-50; however, if the series is completed via opponent forfeiture/disqualification during play, the match winner market resolves to the winning team
  • Tie or Draw: If the match ends in a tie or draw, all markets resolve 50-50
  • Clinching Map Forfeited: If the match ends due to the clinching map being forfeited, the series is considered completed and markets resolve based on the forfeited result

Timing:

Resolution occurs upon completion of the best-of-three series or upon determination that the match will not be completed. HLTV.org is checked for official results; if results are not published within 2 hours of the event's conclusion, credible consensus reporting is used. Markets resolve no later than 2 hours after the event concludes or is officially canceled.
