This market refers to the Counter-Strike match between Abyssal and Rooster in the HyperX & Intel Nationals Group A, initially scheduled for July 16 at 8:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "Abyssal" if Abyssal win the match against Rooster. This market will resolve to "Rooster" if Rooster win the match against Abyssal. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance liability and extract margin, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. This market may show different implied probabilities than major sportsbooks, especially as new information emerges closer to game time. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd on Polymarket sees value relative to conventional betting markets, though each serves distinct audiences and risk profiles.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling shares that represent each outcome, with the current share price reflecting the implied probability of that result. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market operates as an automated market maker, meaning prices adjust continuously based on order flow and liquidity depth. As traders accumulate positions ahead of the match, the odds shift to reflect evolving sentiment about which team is favored to win this best-of-one encounter.
This market resolves around Jul 17, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which team wins the single Counter-Strike map in this Group A matchup. No further conditions apply; the market simply confirms the winner and settles accordingly. Traders should monitor official tournament announcements and match broadcasts to track progress toward resolution.
Several factors may shift odds before Jul 17, 2026. Roster changes, player injuries, or lineup announcements could alter perceived team strength. Recent tournament results, scrim outcomes, or public statements from coaches and players often influence trader sentiment. Map selection and veto strategy details, once announced, typically trigger repricing as traders reassess tactical matchups. Media coverage and community discussion can also amplify or dampen confidence in either side, causing notable swings in this market's price.
