This market tracks the outcome of a best-of-three Counter-Strike 2 match between 9z and Aurora Gaming in the Thunderpick World Championship Group A, specifically focusing on whether Aurora Gaming will win at least four more rounds than 9z on the third map. Currently, the consensus probability of Aurora Gaming (-3.5) winning against 9z (+3.5) is 100.0%. This aggregate view combines data from Predict and Polymarket, and will resolve based on official results reported by hltv.org. Keep an eye on the match schedule, as the resolution date is estimated for October 14, 2026, representing the expected completion of the Thunderpick World Championship.
This market refers to the Counter-Strike match between 9z and Aurora Gaming in the Thunderpick World Championship Group A, initially scheduled for October 14, 2026 at 4:30 AM ET. This market will resolve to "9z" if 9z win the match against Aurora Gaming. This market will resolve to "Aurora Gaming" if Aurora Gaming win the match against 9z. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before October 28, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of October 14, 2026 at 4:30 AM ET). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Predict, often reflect a more accurate forecast than traditional sportsbook odds. This is because prediction markets incentivize participants to reveal their true beliefs, while sportsbooks must account for profit margins and potential biases. While sportsbooks set odds based on statistical models and expert analysis, this market incorporates the wisdom of the crowd. However, sportsbook odds can sometimes offer value, particularly if they differ significantly from the prediction market prices, and arbitrage opportunities may exist between the two.
Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the odds on this market. Any news regarding player form, team strategies, or potential roster changes for 9z or Aurora Gaming could significantly impact prices. Major upsets in other matches within the Thunderpick World Championship could also affect perceptions of team strength and influence trading behavior. Unexpected announcements related to the tournament itself, such as venue changes or rule modifications, could also introduce volatility. Monitoring these signals will be key to understanding how this market evolves before it resolves.
