PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi market contains a logical contradiction: both possible match outcomes (ASTRAL win and 6666 win) are stated to resolve to Yes, making the market fundamentally unresolvable. Polymarket provides coherent binary logic with comprehensive edge-case handling.Hero tip: Kalshi's market structure is broken and cannot be settled fairly. Escalate to Kalshi support immediately for clarification or cancellation. Trade only on Polymarket, which has clear, mutually exclusive resolution paths and detailed edge-case rules.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Binary resolution: 6666 win → resolves to '6666', ASTRAL win → resolves to 'ASTRAL'. Edge cases: cancellation, tie, or 7+ day delay without winner → 50-50; forfeit before start → 50-50; forfeit after start with winner determined → winner resolves. Source: HLTV.org primary, credible consensus within 2 hours fallback.
  • Kalshi: Contradictory resolution logic: 'If ASTRAL wins... resolves to Yes' AND 'If 6666 wins... resolves to Yes.' Both possible outcomes map to identical resolution, creating logical impossibility. No edge-case rules provided.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market refers to the Counter-Strike match between 6666 and ASTRAL in the Urban Riga Open #5 Group A, initially scheduled for June 28 at 11:30AM ET. This market will resolve to "6666" if 6666 win the match against ASTRAL. This market will resolve to "ASTRAL" if ASTRAL win the match against 6666. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Kalshi

Resolution is determined by the final result of the Urban Riga Open #5 2026 CS2 match between ASTRAL and 6666 scheduled for June 28, 2026 at 11:30 AM EDT. The market resolves Yes for whichever team wins the match.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction markets like Polymarket and Kalshi operate on peer-to-peer pricing, where traders themselves set odds through buy and sell orders rather than relying on oddsmakers. This mechanism often produces sharper, more reactive lines than traditional sportsbooks because market participants have direct financial incentive to correct mispricings. For esports events like this one, prediction markets may reflect faster updates to team roster changes, recent performance, or injury news. However, sportsbooks typically offer tighter spreads and faster settlement, while prediction markets provide transparency into aggregate trader conviction through real-time price discovery.

Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts different trader demographics, liquidity pools, and fee structures, which can cause temporary price divergence. Polymarket and Kalshi may also use different market mechanics—one might feature order books while the other uses automated market makers—leading to distinct price discovery processes. Regulatory differences, platform-specific incentives, and variations in how each venue handles esports data can further explain why this market shows different implied probabilities across venues. Arbitrage traders typically exploit these gaps, but until capital flows equalize the odds, meaningful spreads can persist.

Key catalysts include roster announcements or player substitutions for either team, recent tournament results or head-to-head records, and any map pool updates that favor one squad's strengths. Injury or availability news, coaching changes, or public statements from team leadership can shift trader sentiment significantly. Betting activity on external sportsbooks or social media momentum around either competitor may also influence prediction market prices. Additionally, any technical issues or format clarifications from the Urban Riga Open organizers could trigger repricing as participants adjust their conviction based on new information.
