This market predicts the final set score of the professional tennis match between Corentin Moutet and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina at the 2026 ATP London Round of 16 on June 18. The match will be decided by the first player to win two sets, resulting in either a 2-0 or 2-1 final score.
The market resolves Yes to the outcome matching the exact final set score of the match. Possible outcomes are Corentin Moutet winning 2-0, Corentin Moutet winning 2-1, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina winning 2-1, or Alejandro Davidovich Fokina winning 2-0. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to fair price. If postponed or delayed, the market remains open until the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are resolved to fair market price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. This market aggregates real-money commitments from participants wagering on the exact score, which can reveal information gaps or consensus that traditional sportsbooks may price differently. Comparing the two can highlight where public perception and market-derived probabilities align or conflict.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks for each exact-score outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each contract reflects the marginal probability traders assign to that specific scoreline occurring. As new information emerges—player form, court conditions, or betting patterns—traders adjust their positions, moving prices up or down. The tighter the bid-ask spread, the more consensus exists around a particular outcome.
This market resolves around Jun 18, 2026, once the match concludes and the final score is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the exact set score at the end of play—for example, 2–0, 2–1, or 3–1 in sets. Only the outcome matching the precise scoreline you selected will be deemed correct; all other predictions expire worthless. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the match finishing.
Several catalysts can shift odds in this market before the match begins. Injury announcements, withdrawal confirmations, or changes in player ranking or recent form can alter trader expectations of the likely scoreline. Court surface conditions, weather forecasts, and head-to-head records may also influence probability assessments. Closer to the event, betting patterns from professional syndicates or sharp money can signal confidence in particular outcomes. Real-time match developments—such as early set results—will drive the most dramatic repricing once play starts.
