This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Friends XI and Bergamo Super XI scheduled for 2026-06-28 in Coppa il Mondo T10. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to Friends XI will be considered correct if Friends XI is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Bergamo Super XI will be considered correct if Bergamo Super XI is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms and participant bases. Sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are priced by traders bidding and offering based on their genuine beliefs about the outcome. Prediction markets typically incorporate real-time information more efficiently, as participants have direct financial incentive to correct mispricings. However, sportsbooks may offer tighter spreads and faster liquidity in some cases. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbooks can reveal whether traders are pricing the toss outcome more optimistically or pessimistically than traditional betting venues.
On Polymarket, traders set prices through an automated market maker that converts buy and sell orders into real-time probabilities. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome in this market has a price between 0 and 1, representing the implied probability that outcome will occur. When traders believe an outcome is underpriced, they buy shares; when they think it is overpriced, they sell. This continuous price discovery process ensures the market reflects the most current consensus. The toss outcome pricing adjusts dynamically as new information emerges and as trading volume shifts, allowing participants to lock in their views at any time before resolution.
This market resolves around Jul 5, 2026, once the toss outcome from the Friends XI vs Bergamo Super XI match is verifiable from credible public sources. The resolution will confirm which team won the coin flip at the start of play. Traders should monitor official match reports and tournament communications to anticipate the final determination. The market will settle based on the actual toss result, independent of any subsequent match performance or betting outcomes. Early resolution is possible if the toss result is announced and confirmed before the scheduled end date.
Several factors may shift trader sentiment and prices in this market before it resolves. Official team announcements regarding lineup changes or injury updates could influence perceived toss importance. Weather forecasts or pitch condition reports might make one outcome seem more advantageous, prompting repricing. Social media activity and expert commentary from cricket analysts can sway market participants' confidence. Large trades by well-known prediction market participants may trigger momentum or contrarian moves. As the match date approaches and more information becomes public, the market will likely consolidate around the true probability, with final price movements reflecting last-minute developments or late-breaking news about team strategy.
