If a player is not in the starting lineup, or if they start but record no plate appearances, the market resolves to the fair market price. If a player enters the game as a substitute but does not start, the market also resolves to the fair market price, with pinch-hit at-bats excluded from consideration. Only players who are in the starting lineup and record at least one plate appearance contribute to the settlement, which is determined solely by the number of home runs they hit during the game.
