Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets are driven by traders seeking to profit on accurate forecasts. This market aggregates the collective judgment of independent traders rather than a single bookmaker's risk management. Comparing this market's implied probability to major sportsbook lines can reveal where the crowd sees value or where sharp money may be positioning ahead of game time.

On Predict, traders buy and sell shares representing each possible outcome, with the share price reflecting the market's implied probability. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders believe in a particular result, the higher its price climbs. You can enter or exit positions at any time before resolution, allowing you to respond to breaking news, lineup changes, or momentum shifts. The continuous order-book mechanism ensures transparent pricing and tight spreads during active trading periods.

This market resolves around Jul 10, 2026, once the game concludes and the result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the final score and official result of the matchup. Until that point, prices will fluctuate based on pre-game developments, real-time game events if live trading continues, and trader sentiment. Early resolution is not typical unless the game is cancelled or postponed under extraordinary circumstances.

Key catalysts include roster updates, injury announcements for star players, starting pitcher confirmations, and weather forecasts that might affect gameplay. Recent team performance, head-to-head records, and home-field advantage also influence trader positioning. Breaking news about trades, suspensions, or lineup changes can trigger sharp repricing. As game time approaches, live action—if the market remains open during play—will drive real-time adjustments. Monitor team news feeds and sports media closely to stay ahead of market-moving developments.
