This event group covers prediction markets on the outcome of the first 5 innings in a Colorado Rockies vs. Oakland Athletics MLB game. Markets resolve based on which team is ahead (or if tied) at the end of the 5th inning, with separate markets on Polymarket for each outcome (Rockies win, Athletics win, or Draw) and a combined market on Kalshi that resolves Yes for any outcome.
In the upcoming MLB game between the Colorado Rockies and Athletics, scheduled for June 14 at 3:05 PM ET: This market will resolve to "Colorado Rockies" if the Colorado Rockies is winning the game at the conclusion of the 5th inning. This market will resolve to "Athletics" if the Athletics is winning the game at the conclusion of the 5th inning. If the game is tied at the conclusion of the 5th inning, this market will resolve to "Draw". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the 5th inning has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve 50-50. To know when a postponed game will be played, please check the home team's schedule on MLB.com for the listed team and look for the game described as a makeup game. The primary resolution source for this market is the official final statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 24 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.
This event evaluates the winner of the first 5 innings in the Colorado vs A's professional baseball game originally scheduled for June 13, 2026 at 10:05 PM EDT. Three outcomes are possible: Colorado wins the first 5 innings, the A's wins the first 5 innings, or the teams tie after 5 innings. If the score at the end of the fifth inning is tied, the Tie outcome resolves to Yes and all team-specific outcomes resolve to No. If the game is postponed or delayed, the market remains open and closes after the rescheduled game concludes within two days of the original scheduled date.
Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Platform mechanics, user bases, and liquidity pools drive natural pricing variation. Kalshi operates as a regulated exchange with specific contract rules and settlement procedures, while Polymarket uses an automated market maker model with different fee structures and trader incentives. Liquidity concentration differs between venues—one platform may attract more sharp action on this matchup than the other—creating temporary mispricings. Geographic and demographic differences in trader populations also matter; regional interest in Colorado or Oakland teams may skew odds differently across platforms. These gaps typically narrow as resolution approaches, but they create opportunities for alert traders monitoring both exchanges.
Lineup announcements, injury reports, and weather conditions are primary catalysts before first pitch. A key player sidelined or unexpected roster change can shift early-inning dynamics significantly. Weather—wind direction, temperature, humidity—affects ball carry and pitcher performance in the opening frames. Starting pitcher form, bullpen availability, and recent team performance in early innings all influence trader positioning. As game time nears, sharp action from professional bettors often moves prices materially. Real-time developments during the first few innings, such as early runs or defensive plays, will drive final adjustments right up until the fifth inning concludes.
