Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are priced by traders themselves, creating a dynamic supply-and-demand equilibrium. Prediction markets typically adjust faster to new information and can offer sharper odds when trader conviction is high. Comparing the two can reveal where public or professional opinion differs most significantly.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader positions into real-time probabilities. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price you see reflects the collective belief of all active traders; as more capital flows toward one outcome, the odds shift accordingly. This continuous repricing mechanism ensures the market stays responsive to breaking news, team updates, or any other signal that might influence the second-half result.
This market resolves around Jul 25, 2026, once the match concludes and the second-half result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the official final score recorded for the second half of the fixture. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the match ending, allowing traders to settle positions quickly and move on to the next event.
Team news—injuries, suspensions, or lineup changes announced before kickoff—can shift odds significantly. Weather conditions, recent form, and head-to-head records may also influence trader positioning. During the first half, scoreline developments and momentum swings often ripple into second-half pricing, as traders reassess the likelihood of different outcomes. Late-breaking tactical adjustments or manager statements can trigger sharp repricing in the final hours before the match.
