Description

This event group covers the first team to score in a Liga MX match between Club Necaxa and CF Monterrey scheduled for July 26, 2026. The market resolves based on which team (if any) scores the opening goal during the match, with three possible outcomes: Necaxa, Monterrey, or Neither.

PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Polymarket limits resolution scope to 90 minutes plus stoppage time only, while Kalshi includes the entire match including extra time periods. This creates different settlement outcomes if the first goal occurs after the 90+stoppage window.Hero tip: Before trading, confirm which platform you are using. If you expect the match to remain scoreless through 90 minutes and a goal in extra time, Polymarket will resolve to Neither while Kalshi will resolve to the scoring team. This scope difference is material for close matches.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Resolves based on first goal within 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time only. Extra time and penalty shootouts are explicitly excluded from consideration. If no goal in this window, resolves to Neither.
  • Kalshi: Resolves based on first goal during the entire game including regulation, stoppage time, and any extra time periods. Covers the full match duration until a goal is scored or the match ends.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Frequently asked questions

The first goal scorer market aggregates predictions across Polymarket and Kalshi, tracking which team will score the opening goal in the Club Necaxa versus CF Monterrey match. This market lets traders wager on the outcome before kickoff, with real-time odds reflecting the collective assessment of both squads' attacking prowess and defensive vulnerabilities. By monitoring activity across both venues, you can see how consensus shifts as team news, lineups, and pre-match analysis emerge. The dashboard consolidates volume and price discovery, giving you a unified view of where the prediction market stands on this specific event.

Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks price outcomes differently because they operate under distinct mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets derive prices from live trader activity and supply-demand dynamics. Prediction markets often reflect sharper, real-time consensus because participants have direct financial incentive to price accurately. However, sportsbooks may offer tighter spreads and faster liquidity in mainstream events. For niche or fast-moving matchups, this market's prices can diverge significantly from sportsbook lines, creating opportunities for informed bettors who spot mispricings early.

Team lineups and injury announcements are primary catalysts; the absence of a key striker or defender can shift odds sharply. Pre-match analysis, recent form, head-to-head records, and tactical previews from credible sports media will influence trader positioning. Weather conditions, venue factors, and late-breaking news about player availability can trigger repricing. As kickoff approaches, volume typically increases and odds tighten. Live trader sentiment and any surprise team news in the final hours before the match can create volatility, so monitoring both platforms in real time helps you stay ahead of market moves.
