PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Divergence in the time scope for determining the first goal (regular time vs full time including extra time)Hero tip: If the match goes to extra time and the first goal is scored there, Polymarket will resolve as Neither while Kalshi will resolve to the scoring team. Consider hedging positions accordingly.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Resolves to the team that scores first within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. If no goal is scored in that period, resolves to Neither. Extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded.
  • Kalshi: Resolves to Yes for the team that records the first goal during the entire game, including regulation, stoppage, and any extra time periods. If no team scores at all during the entire game, resolves to Yes for the Neither market.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Frequently asked questions

The dashboard for the first goal scorer market aggregates data from multiple venues, showing how traders price the likelihood of each team scoring first. It displays current probabilities, volume of $2,561, and 24-hour volume of $2,485, letting you see consensus views across platforms. This unified view helps you spot shifts in sentiment as the match approaches, with all metrics updating in real time to reflect new betting activity and news.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through trader activity, often producing sharper or more volatile odds than traditional sportsbooks. The difference can be noticeable, especially for underdogs, where prediction markets may embed unique insights or sentiment not reflected in sportsbook lines. For example, trader-driven prices can shift quickly on news like lineup changes, while sportsbooks adjust more slowly. Comparing both gives a fuller picture of expected outcomes and potential value opportunities.

On Polymarket and Kalshi, prices can vary due to differences in user base, liquidity, and trading mechanics. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For instance, one platform might attract more local fans, skewing its odds toward a favored team, while the other could reflect a global, more neutral audience. Volume disparities also play a role — higher volume usually means prices are more efficient, while thinner markets can see larger swings from single trades.
