If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market allows traders to directly express their beliefs about the outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by simultaneously betting on Polymarket and a sportsbook. However, it’s important to note that sportsbooks and prediction markets have different user bases and information sources, leading to potentially varied assessments of the event’s probability.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell shares representing different exact score outcomes, and the price of each share reflects the market’s collective belief about the probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders believe an outcome is likely, the higher the price of its corresponding shares will rise. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures that the market odds continuously adjust as new information becomes available, offering a real-time assessment of the potential result of the Almagro vs. Chicago match.
This market resolves around Sep 27, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the Club Almagro versus Nueva Chicago match will be used to determine the winning outcome. Resolution will be based on the official result published by the relevant sporting authority. Traders holding shares in the correct exact score outcome will be entitled to a payout, while those holding shares in incorrect outcomes will forfeit their stake. The market’s resolution will be clearly indicated on Polymarket.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding team injuries, changes in coaching staff, or even weather conditions could shift trader sentiment and impact the odds. Unexpected announcements about player availability or tactical changes could also lead to significant price movements. Furthermore, public opinion, as reflected in social media or sports news outlets, can sometimes influence trading behavior. Major shifts in any of these areas are likely to cause the probabilities associated with different exact score outcomes to adjust on Polymarket.
