On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The cost of each share reflects the current probability assigned by the market; as traders accumulate positions, prices adjust dynamically. This continuous repricing ensures that the odds always represent the latest consensus among active participants, with spreads tightening as volume increases and liquidity deepens.
This market resolves around Aug 2, 2026, once the match concludes and the first goal scorer is verified. The outcome is confirmed against credible public reporting of the event result. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout, while incorrect positions expire worthless. Resolution timing depends on official match records and reporting availability, typically finalized shortly after the final whistle.
Several factors can shift odds significantly before resolution. Team news—injuries to key forwards, lineup announcements, or tactical changes—often triggers sharp repricing. Pre-match analysis, expert predictions, and social media sentiment can drive trader positioning. Weather conditions, referee assignments, and recent head-to-head form may also influence probabilities. As match time approaches, late-breaking information and final odds from traditional sportsbooks can accelerate trading activity and volatility in this market.
