This market assesses how many points will be scored in the final quarter of a college football game between Clemson and California. Participants predict whether the combined score will exceed various thresholds, offering insight into expected game momentum and scoring trends in the last period of play.
All markets resolve based solely on the total points scored by both teams during the 4th quarter (excluding overtime) of the Clemson vs California college football game scheduled for September 25, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold: if the combined 4th-quarter points exceed the stated threshold (e.g., 2.5, 5.5, up to 27.5 points), the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. All markets are independent, with each threshold representing a distinct outcome.
Generally, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market is driven purely by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. If a significant number of traders believe a particular outcome is more likely than sportsbooks suggest, the price will move accordingly. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially as new information emerges or public opinion shifts closer to game time. Examining these differences can reveal insights into where the market finds value.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book, meaning traders are constantly buying and selling contracts at varying prices. The price of a contract represents the probability of that outcome occurring, scaled to a value between 0 and 100. As more traders buy contracts predicting a higher point total, the price for those contracts increases, and vice-versa. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and reflect the collective intelligence of its participants.
This market resolves around Sep 26, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official total points scored in the 4th quarter of the Clemson vs California game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the final, official game statistics provided by the governing sports organization. Traders holding contracts on the correct outcome will receive a payout based on the final market price at resolution, while those holding contracts on incorrect outcomes will forfeit their stake.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Clemson or California would likely have a significant impact, as would changes in weather forecasts predicting conditions that favor either a high-scoring or low-scoring fourth quarter. In-game developments during the first three quarters, such as a large lead by one team, could also shift expectations and move the market. Even public sentiment, reflected in social media or expert analysis, can contribute to price fluctuations as traders react to new information.
