This set of markets evaluates individual player and team defensive performances in an upcoming football game, focusing on whether specified athletes or units surpass predetermined fantasy point thresholds based on a standardized scoring system.
All markets resolve based on fantasy points accumulated by specified players or teams during the full duration of the Cincinnati vs Pittsburgh Pro Football game scheduled for September 27, 2026, including any overtime periods. Fantasy points are calculated using Sleeper’s default full-PPR scoring system, which awards points for various in-game achievements such as passing, rushing, receiving yards, touchdowns, interceptions, field goals, sacks, defensive plays, and special teams contributions. Each market has a unique threshold; if the specified player or team records above their respective threshold, the market resolves to Yes, otherwise to No. Players or teams that do not participate or are not assigned a fantasy-point value by Sleeper are considered to have scored zero points. The official fantasy-point totals published by Sleeper at the time of market expiration are used for resolution, with no adjustments for post-expiration corrections or rounding. All markets are independent, and each is evaluated solely on the performance of the individual or team named in its primary rule.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to trade based on their own analysis. Therefore, you may find that the implied probabilities in this market diverge from traditional sportsbook odds, especially as new information becomes available or public sentiment shifts. It’s valuable to compare both to form a well-rounded perspective on the likely outcome.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different total fantasy point ranges. The price of each contract reflects the market’s assessment of the probability of the actual total fantasy points falling within that range. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the prices adjust to reflect the evolving consensus. The more a particular outcome is believed to be likely, the higher the price of contracts associated with that outcome will climb.
This market resolves around Sep 27, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final total fantasy points scored by players in the Cincinnati vs Pittsburgh game are verifiable from credible public reporting. The official fantasy point totals from a recognized fantasy sports provider will be used to determine which contracts pay out. Traders holding contracts corresponding to the actual total fantasy points scored will receive a payout, while those holding contracts for different totals will not.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either the Bengals or Steelers would likely cause substantial movement, as fantasy point potential is heavily tied to player availability. Changes in player matchups, weather forecasts, or even late-breaking news about team strategies could also influence trading activity. Unexpected performance in other games that week, affecting playoff implications, might also subtly shift sentiment and move the market as traders reassess probabilities.
