Prediction market odds often differ from traditional sportsbook lines because they reflect trader sentiment rather than set bookmaker margins. In this market, the implied probabilities may appear sharper or more volatile, especially with low volume. Traders price in real-time reactions to news, injuries, and weather, which can move odds faster than sportsbooks adjust their lines.
Injuries, weather delays, and pitcher changes can all shift this market as the game nears. Key starters being scratched or a sudden storm warning may cause rapid re-pricing. Traders will also react to any last-minute line moves from sportsbooks, betting volume spikes on either side, and pre-game commentary from analysts or players.
