The outcome depends solely on the performance of both teams during the second inning, with special conditions applying if the game is called early.

Kalshi

The market resolves based on the number of runs scored by each team specifically during the second inning of the designated game. If Chicago WS scores more runs than Kansas City in that inning, the 'Chicago WS wins 2nd inning' market resolves to Yes. Conversely, if Kansas City scores more runs, the 'Kansas City wins 2nd inning' market resolves to Yes. If both teams score the same number of runs, the 'Tie 2nd inning' market resolves to Yes. Importantly, only runs scored during the second inning are considered for resolution. If the game is called before the completion of the second inning, all markets resolve to a Fair Price.
