Polymarket and Predict can show different prices on the same outcome due to distinct user bases, liquidity depths, and fee structures. Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Polymarket typically attracts larger volumes and more sophisticated traders, while Predict may serve a different demographic or have tighter spreads in certain conditions. Arbitrage opportunities between platforms are limited by withdrawal friction and settlement timing, so price gaps can persist. Monitoring both helps you understand which platform's pricing is more reliable for your decision-making.
Key catalysts include roster changes, injury announcements, recent team performance trends, and head-to-head matchup history. Weather conditions at game time, bullpen availability, and late-breaking lineup decisions often trigger sharp price moves in the final hours. Trading volume typically spikes closer to first pitch as new information surfaces and casual bettors enter. Monitoring team news, Vegas line movement, and platform volume can help you anticipate shifts in this market before they're fully priced in.
