This event group covers MLB games between the Chicago White Sox and Baltimore Orioles across two separate dates and market types. Predict platform offers a head-to-head winner market for June 29, while Polymarket offers both a first-inning run market and a head-to-head winner market for July 1. The core issue is that the two platforms are pricing different games on different dates, creating a temporal divergence rather than a logical one.
In the upcoming MLB game between the Chicago White Sox and Baltimore Orioles, scheduled for July 1 at 12:35PM ET: This market will resolve to "Chicago White Sox" if the Chicago White Sox win the game. This market will resolve to "Baltimore Orioles" if the Baltimore Orioles win the game. If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, or ends in a tie, this market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official final statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 24 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts different trader demographics, fee structures, and liquidity pools. Predict and Polymarket may price the same outcome differently due to variations in order flow, market depth, and how quickly new information propagates across each community. Additionally, if the platforms track slightly different event definitions or resolution criteria, price gaps can widen. Arbitrage opportunities sometimes emerge, though transaction costs and withdrawal delays often prevent full convergence.
Key catalysts include injury announcements, lineup changes, weather conditions at game time, and recent team performance trends. Betting line movement at sportsbooks often precedes prediction market shifts, so monitoring those changes can signal incoming trader activity here. Breaking news about player availability, managerial decisions, or ballpark factors may trigger rapid repricing. As game time approaches, live in-game developments—early runs, pitching changes, or momentum swings—will drive intra-game market volatility.
