This market tracks which team will score the first touchdown in an upcoming professional football game between Chicago and Carolina. It covers all possible scoring scenarios, including offensive, defensive, and special teams plays, and accounts for potential overtime periods. If neither team scores a touchdown at all, a separate outcome is available.
The market resolves based on which team scores the first touchdown in the Chicago vs Carolina Pro Football game originally scheduled for September 13, 2026, with all types of touchdowns—including offensive, defensive, and special teams—counting toward the outcome. If the first touchdown occurs in overtime, it still counts for that team’s market. A separate market resolves if neither team scores a touchdown at any point in the game, including overtime. Should the game be postponed but commence within 48 hours of its original scheduled start time, the market remains open and resolves based on the official result. If the game fails to start within 48 hours of its scheduled time, the market resolves to a fair price. Kalshi explicitly states it is not affiliated with or connected to the governing league, and all trademarks and brand names belong to their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds tend to reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines which can be influenced by public perception or house biases. Sportsbooks often adjust their odds based on betting action, but this market on Kalshi allows for continuous price discovery as new information emerges. It's common to see prediction market probabilities diverge from sportsbook implied probabilities, especially as the event approaches and more information becomes available. Analyzing these differences can be a valuable exercise for informed bettors.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book, where traders submit bids and asks for contracts representing each possible outcome. The current price reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as determined by supply and demand. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders are incentivized to provide accurate predictions, as profitable traders can consistently earn returns. The market depth, indicated by the bid-ask spread, shows how easily orders can be filled, and therefore the market’s liquidity for this specific event.
This market resolves around Sep 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on which team scores the first touchdown in the game between Chicago and Carolina. The official game statistics will serve as the basis for determining the winning outcome. Traders who correctly predicted the first team to score a touchdown will receive a payout based on the final market prices at resolution.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding key player injuries on either the Chicago or Carolina teams would likely cause price fluctuations. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if adverse conditions are predicted, could also influence the market. Furthermore, late-breaking news about coaching strategies or team morale could shift probabilities. Finally, even significant betting activity within this market on Kalshi itself can drive price movements as traders react to new information or perceived advantages.
