This group forecasts which team will score the first goal in a soccer match between the Chicago Fire FC and the New England Revolution. The market resolves based on the first goal scored during the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. Neither team scoring results in a 'Neither' outcome.
In the upcoming match between Chicago Fire FC and New England Revolution, scheduled for September 13, 2026 at 5:30 PM ET: This market will resolve to "Chicago Fire FC" if Chicago Fire FC are the first to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. This market will resolve to "New England Revolution" if New England Revolution are the first to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. If neither team scores within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, this market will resolve "Neither". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve to "Neither". This market refers only to the outcome within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. Extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
Each market resolves based on whether the specified Chicago player or unit scores the first touchdown in the game originally scheduled for September 13, 2026. If the designated player is active but does not take a snap, the market settles at the fair market price before kickoff. Once the player takes a snap—even if the play is nullified by a penalty—the market resolves according to whether that player scores the first touchdown. If no Chicago touchdowns are scored in the game, the 'No Chicago Touchdown' market resolves to Yes, and all player-specific markets resolve to No. All markets are independent, and the resolution depends strictly on the timing of the first touchdown scored by Chicago, regardless of subsequent scoring events.
Prices on Polymarket and Kalshi can diverge due to several factors. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts a different user base with varying risk tolerances and information sets, influencing trading behavior. Additionally, the liquidity and trading volume on each platform can differ, impacting price discovery. For example, if Polymarket has significantly higher volume, its price may be more responsive to new information. Furthermore, the specific rules and fee structures of each platform can also contribute to price discrepancies, even when tracking the same underlying event – the Chicago Fire vs. Revolution match.
