On Polymarket and Predict, prices can vary because each platform attracts different user bases and has distinct liquidity pools. Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For example, one venue might see heavier participation from seasoned traders who react quickly to pitching changes or weather updates, while the other could be influenced more by casual fans. These differences in activity and information flow often create temporary mispricings between the two sites.
Injuries to key players, weather delays, or last-minute lineup changes could shift this market as they affect expected scoring. Bets will also react to any pre-game betting surges, especially if one side gains sudden public favor or if internal team news leaks out. All of these catalysts can cause rapid swings in probability and volume before the final whistle.
