On Polymarket and Kalshi, prices can vary because of differing user bases, liquidity conditions, and market design nuances. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For instance, one platform might attract more local fans, skewing probabilities toward a favored team, while the other could reflect international betting patterns. Additionally, each venue sets its own fee structure and trading limits, which influence how odds evolve before the match.
Injuries to key players, weather forecasts affecting match conditions, and tactical announcements from coaches can all shift this market. High-impact moments like a recent win or loss for either team, or even early betting surges on Polymarket or Kalshi, may cause rapid probability swings. Traders will watch injury reports and lineup updates closely as the match nears.
