Prediction market odds often reflect a different set of information and incentives than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a margin for profit and may be influenced by public betting patterns, while this market aggregates the wisdom of the crowd and allows for more direct expression of individual beliefs. It’s common to see discrepancies between the two, especially early in the market’s lifecycle, as prediction markets can quickly adjust to new information and expert analysis. Comparing these odds can provide a broader perspective on the likely outcome of the match.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This means the price fluctuates based on supply and demand, driven by new information, expert opinions, and overall market sentiment. The more traders believe in a particular outcome, the higher the price of its corresponding shares will climb.
This market resolves around Oct 2, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
