Currently, the consensus probability of Chelsea FC winning is 100.0%, as aggregated from Kalshi, Limitless, and Polymarket. The resolution source for this market is the official EFL website. Keep an eye on September 9, 2026, as this is the date the match is scheduled to conclude and will determine the outcome of this market.
This event is for the upcoming EFL Cup (Carabao Cup) game, scheduled for Wednesday, September 9, 2026 between Chelsea FC and Leeds United FC.
The market resolves based on the result of the Chelsea vs Leeds United professional EFL Cup soccer match originally scheduled for September 9, 2026, after exactly 90 minutes of play plus any stoppage time, excluding extra time or penalty kicks. Three distinct outcomes are possible: a win for Chelsea, a win for Leeds United, or a tie. If either team secures a victory within regulation time, the corresponding market resolves to Yes. Should the match conclude with an equal scoreline after regulation time, the Tie market resolves to Yes. In the event the game is canceled or rescheduled to a date more than 48 hours beyond the original schedule, the market will resolve to a fair price in accordance with the platform's rules. The markets operate independently of any league affiliations, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
This market resolves to "YES" if the listed club wins after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, excluding extra time and penalty shootouts, in the match scheduled for September 9, 2026, 19:00 UTC. Otherwise, it will resolve to "NO." If the match is postponed, this market will remain open until the match has been completed. If the match is not completed as scheduled for any reason (for example, if it is abandoned, canceled, or awarded), and an official final result is recognized by the governing body or event organizers, this market will resolve based on that result. If no official final result is recognized and no make-up match is scheduled, this market will resolve "NO." Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
Prediction market odds often reflect a ‘wisdom of the crowd’ that can differ from traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on models and public perception, potentially incorporating biases. This market, however, allows individuals to express their beliefs with real capital, leading to prices that may more accurately forecast the true probability of an event. While sportsbooks often include a ‘vig’ or commission, prediction markets generally have lower transaction costs, potentially offering better value to informed bettors. It’s important to compare both to identify discrepancies and potential opportunities.
Prices for this market on Polymarket and Kalshi can diverge due to a number of factors. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform has its own user base, trading limits, and fee structure, all of which can influence price discovery. Additionally, differing liquidity and order flow on each platform can create temporary price discrepancies. Market sentiment and information access can also vary between the two venues, leading to different interpretations of the likely outcome of the Chelsea vs. Leeds match and, consequently, different prices. These differences are normal in decentralized prediction markets.
