This group forecasts the outcome of a single EFL Championship soccer match between Charlton Athletic FC and Portsmouth FC on September 12, 2026. Markets ask whether Charlton will win, Portsmouth will win, or the game will end in a draw, all within 90 minutes plus stoppage time.
This event is for the upcoming EFL Championship game, scheduled for Saturday, September 12, 2026 between Charlton Athletic FC and Portsmouth FC.
The event covers three possible outcomes for the Charlton versus Portsmouth professional EFL Championship soccer match scheduled for September 12, 2026: a win for Charlton, a win for Portsmouth, or a tie—all determined after 90 minutes of regular play plus any stoppage time, but not including extra time or penalty shootouts. Each market resolves to 'Yes' only if its specific outcome occurs. If the match ends in a tie after regular time, the 'Tie' market resolves to 'Yes,' while the 'Charlton' and 'Portsmouth' markets resolve to 'No.' Should the game be canceled or rescheduled to more than 48 hours beyond the original date, all markets will resolve to a fair price as per the event rules. The markets are independent of any official league affiliations, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
This market resolves to "YES" if the listed club wins after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, excluding extra time and penalty shootouts, in the match scheduled for September 12, 2026, 14:00 UTC. Otherwise, it will resolve to "NO." If the match is postponed, this market will remain open until the match has been completed. If the match is not completed as scheduled for any reason (for example, if it is abandoned, canceled, or awarded), and an official final result is recognized by the governing body or event organizers, this market will resolve based on that result. If no official final result is recognized and no make-up match is scheduled, this market will resolve "NO." Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
Prediction market odds, like those seen on this market, often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the wisdom of the crowd and the incentive structure. Sportsbooks set odds to maximize profit, incorporating a margin, while prediction markets allow participants to directly bet against each other, theoretically leading to more accurate probabilities. This market reflects the collective intelligence of informed traders, potentially identifying mispricings that sportsbooks might miss. However, factors like liquidity and market manipulation can also influence prediction market prices, creating discrepancies with sportsbook offerings. It's important to consider both sources when evaluating the likelihood of different outcomes.
