In the upcoming Leagues Cup game between Charlotte FC and Pumas de la UNAM, scheduled for August 4, 2026 at 8:00 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Charlotte FC vs. Pumas de la UNAM match originally scheduled for August 4, 2026 at 8:00 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
The event evaluates multiple thresholds for total goals scored in the Charlotte vs Pumas UNAM professional Leagues Cup soccer match scheduled for August 4, 2026. Each market resolves to 'Yes' if the total goals exceed a specified threshold—ranging from 0.5 to 5.5 goals—after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, excluding extra time or penalty kicks. All markets are independent, meaning each threshold is assessed separately. The governing rules emphasize that the resolution is based solely on the official match result as recorded by the league, and Kalshi disclaims any official affiliation with the governing league or ownership of related trademarks and branding.
Prediction market odds on this market often differ from traditional sportsbook lines because they reflect decentralized trader sentiment rather than set bookmaker adjustments. While sportsbooks may offer spread or over/under lines with a built-in house edge, prediction markets let participants bet directly on exact outcomes, sometimes producing sharper or more volatile prices. The gap can also widen if one venue has heavier volume or newer information flow.
On Polymarket and Kalshi, pricing mechanisms and user bases vary, creating natural differences in how outcomes are valued. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For instance, one platform might attract more local fans or recent bettors, skewing its odds toward a specific scoreline. The way each venue handles liquidity and fees also influences price discovery, so even with identical information, the displayed chances can diverge noticeably.
