Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from those offered by traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their lines based on internal models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market represents the aggregated beliefs of individuals trading on Predict. If a significant number of traders believe a particular outcome is more likely than implied by sportsbook odds, the price in this market will adjust accordingly. It's common to see prediction markets outperform sportsbook odds in terms of accuracy, especially when there's strong public interest.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand. When more people buy contracts predicting a specific result, the price increases, indicating a higher probability. Conversely, increased selling pressure lowers the price. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price reflects the collective assessment of all traders on Predict regarding the likelihood of each second-half result in the CF Montréal vs. Cincinnati match.
This market resolves around Sep 27, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on which team wins the second half of the CF Montréal vs. Cincinnati match. Official results from the match will be used to determine the winning outcome. Traders who correctly predicted the second-half winner will receive a payout based on the final market price at resolution. This market's resolution is independent of any pre-match predictions or analyses.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before it resolves. Any news regarding player injuries, suspensions, or changes in team lineups for either CF Montréal or FC Cincinnati could significantly shift the odds. Unexpected weather conditions on match day could also play a role. Furthermore, in-game events during the first half, such as early goals or red cards, will likely cause substantial price movements as traders react to the evolving situation. General shifts in public sentiment and betting patterns on Predict will also contribute to price fluctuations.
