Predict
In the upcoming MLS game between CF Montréal and FC Cincinnati, scheduled for September 26, 2026 at 7:30 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the CF Montréal vs. FC Cincinnati match originally scheduled for September 26, 2026 at 7:30 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often proving more accurate than traditional sportsbook odds, especially when considering long-term forecasts. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while this market allows traders to directly assess probabilities. However, sportsbook odds can be influenced by factors like public betting patterns and promotional offers, which may differ from the more rational, incentive-aligned behavior seen in a prediction market like this one. It’s common to see discrepancies, particularly in less liquid markets or those with significant public interest.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous exchange where traders buy and sell contracts representing different exact score outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the collective belief of the traders about the probability of that outcome occurring. As more people buy into a particular result, its price increases, and vice-versa. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures that the odds closely align with the aggregated predictions of the user base. The market’s efficiency is driven by the incentive for traders to accurately assess probabilities and profit from correctly predicting the final score.
This market resolves around Sep 27, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official score of the CF Montréal vs. FC Cincinnati match will be used to determine the winning contract. Any delays in the official reporting of the score may impact the resolution time, but the market will be settled as soon as a reliable source provides the definitive result. Traders holding the contract corresponding to the correct final score will be paid out according to the market’s pricing at the time of resolution.
Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market. Late-breaking news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either CF Montréal or FC Cincinnati would likely cause significant shifts in the odds. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if severe weather is expected, could also impact the perceived probabilities of different scorelines. Additionally, any significant tactical announcements from either team’s coach, or even shifts in public sentiment based on pre-game analysis, could drive trading volume and alter the prices in this market. Unexpected lineup changes right before kickoff are also a common catalyst.
