PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Polymarket limits resolution scope to 90 minutes plus stoppage time, explicitly excluding extra time. Kalshi includes the entire match including extra time periods. This creates a material outcome divergence if the first goal occurs only during extra time.Hero tip: If you hold positions on both platforms, recognize that a goal in extra time will settle differently: Polymarket pays 'Neither', Kalshi pays the scoring team. Consider arbitrage or hedging strategies if match dynamics suggest extra time is likely. Monitor official Liga MX scheduling to confirm no postponements alter the July 21, 2026 date.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: First-goal resolution limited to 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time only. Extra time and penalty shootouts explicitly excluded. Resolves to 'Neither' if no goal in regulation + stoppage. Resolution source: official governing body statistics within 2 hours, or credible reporting consensus if delayed.
  • Kalshi: First-goal resolution covers entire game including regulation, stoppage, and any extra time periods. No explicit exclusion of extra time. Resolves to 'Yes' for the team scoring first at any point in the match, or 'Yes' for 'Neither' if no goal scored across all periods.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market will resolve to "Club Puebla" if Club Puebla are the first to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. This market refers only to the outcome within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. Extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.

Kalshi

The market resolves based on which team scores the first goal during the entire CF Cruz Azul vs Club Puebla professional Liga MX soccer game originally scheduled for July 21, 2026, encompassing regulation time, stoppage time, and any extra time periods. If CF Cruz Azul scores first, their market resolves to Yes. If Club Puebla scores first, their market resolves to Yes. If no team scores any goal throughout the entire match, the No Goal market resolves to Yes. In the event that the first goal scored is an own goal, resolution is determined by the team to which the goal is officially awarded. Only one of these outcomes can occur, and the market will resolve to exactly one of the three possibilities based on the match result.

Frequently asked questions

The first goal scorer market aggregates trader predictions across Polymarket and Kalshi on which team will score first in the CF Cruz Azul versus Club Puebla match. This market lets you track real-time odds and trading volume as bettors weigh team form, lineup strength, and tactical matchups. By monitoring both venues simultaneously, you gain insight into how different prediction communities assess the likelihood of each outcome, with current aggregate volume reflecting active interest in this specific event.

Prediction markets operate on continuous price discovery: traders buy and sell shares based on their conviction, and the final price reflects collective belief rather than a bookmaker's margin. Unlike traditional sportsbooks, which set fixed odds and profit from the spread, these venues allow you to trade in and out before the event concludes. Prices often converge toward true probability over time, though they may diverge from sportsbook lines due to different participant pools, liquidity depth, and real-time information flow during the lead-up to kickoff.

Key catalysts include team lineup announcements, injury reports to star forwards or defensive players, and recent form trends heading into the fixture. Tactical shifts, managerial statements about attacking intent, and head-to-head historical patterns can all shift trader sentiment. Weather conditions on match day and any late-breaking news about player availability may also trigger sharp price movements as bettors recalibrate their edge in the final hours before kickoff.
