Prediction market odds on Polymarket often diverge from traditional sportsbook odds because they reflect real-time trader sentiment rather than bookmaker margins. Sportsbooks typically build in a vigorish, while prediction markets aggregate decentralized bets with minimal overhead. For the Peliwo versus Coulibaly matchup, comparing Polymarket prices to major sportsbooks can reveal whether the market is pricing either fighter as undervalued or overvalued relative to professional oddsmakers' assessments.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, the Centurion 2 matchup is priced through binary outcome contracts where traders buy and sell shares representing each fighter's probability of victory. The price of each share reflects the market's collective assessment, ranging from 0 to 1 (or 0% to 100%). As new information emerges—training updates, fighter statements, or injury reports—traders adjust positions, moving prices to reflect changing expectations about the bout's outcome.
Key catalysts for price movement include fighter training camp updates, official weigh-in results, injury announcements, and media narratives surrounding either Peliwo or Coulibaly. Unexpected statements from coaches, changes in betting patterns at sportsbooks, or viral social media moments can also shift trader sentiment. As the event date approaches, any news about fighter conditioning, mental state, or last-minute adjustments will likely trigger volatility in market pricing as traders reassess their positions.
