Frequently asked questions

Generally, prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their lines based on their own models and risk assessment, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. It's common to see discrepancies between the two, especially before significant events or breaking news. Analyzing these differences can be insightful, as the market may incorporate information that sportsbooks haven’t fully accounted for, or vice versa. However, both aim to accurately predict the outcome.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders believe a team will score first, the higher the price of shares representing that outcome will climb. This dynamic pricing reflects the collective intelligence of the traders on Polymarket and adjusts in real-time as new information becomes available.

This market resolves around Sep 6, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
