PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Polymarket and Kalshi differ on whether extra time periods are included in the resolution scope. Polymarket limits resolution to 90 minutes plus stoppage time, while Kalshi includes the entire game including extra time.Hero tip: If you hold positions on both platforms, understand that a goal in extra time creates a resolution mismatch: Polymarket resolves to Neither while Kalshi resolves to the scoring team. Consider your risk tolerance for matches likely to go to extra time and hedge accordingly.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Resolves based on first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time only. Neither team scoring in this window resolves to Neither. Extra time and penalty shoot-outs are explicitly excluded from scope.
  • Kalshi: Resolves based on entire game including regulation, stoppage, and any extra time periods. A goal in extra time would trigger a Yes resolution for the scoring team.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Frequently asked questions

This dashboard aggregates the first-goal scorer market across Polymarket and Kalshi, tracking real-time odds on which team will score first in the CD Guadalajara versus FC Juárez match. Traders on both venues are pricing the probability of each outcome, and the combined volume reflects the total capital deployed across platforms. The short_topic captures a straightforward binary event: one team will net the opening goal, or neither will before the final whistle. Cross-platform tracking lets you compare how different prediction communities value the same outcome, revealing consensus strength or divergence in market sentiment.

Prediction markets and sportsbooks price the same event differently because they operate under distinct incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins; prediction markets rely on trader consensus to discover prices. On this market, traders are directly wagering capital on their conviction, which often produces sharper, more efficient pricing than traditional sportsbooks. However, sportsbook odds may reflect deeper liquidity or specialized bookmaker models. Comparing the two can reveal arbitrage opportunities or signal where the broader market disagrees with professional oddsmakers on this match.

Team news—injuries to key forwards or defensive players—can significantly shift odds, as can lineup announcements closer to kickoff. Recent form, head-to-head records, and weather conditions at the venue all influence trader positioning. Tactical changes or managerial decisions revealed in pre-match press conferences often trigger repricing. Live betting activity during the opening minutes of the match can also move odds sharply as traders react to early possession, chances, and momentum. Monitor official team social media and sports news outlets for updates that might alter perceptions of attacking threat or defensive vulnerability.
