On Polymarket, traders set odds through direct betting, often reflecting sharper or more nuanced views than traditional sportsbooks. This market may show a different implied probability than sportsbook lines due to varied participant pools and real-time updates. The gap can widen if new information emerges about team form or injuries.
Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Price differences between Polymarket and Predict can arise from varying user bases, liquidity levels, and market design features. For instance, one platform might attract more local fans, skewing its odds toward a favored scoreline. Additionally, differing fee structures or order-book dynamics can amplify small discrepancies into visible gaps in implied probabilities for this market.
