Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own modeling and to balance action, while this market aggregates the views of many individual traders. If a significant discrepancy exists between this market and sportsbook odds, it may indicate that prediction market participants have access to information or insights not fully incorporated into the sportsbook's assessment. However, as the event nears, these odds tend to converge as more information becomes available and the market becomes more efficient.

On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of these shares reflects the collective prediction of the crowd. Higher prices indicate a greater probability of that outcome occurring, while lower prices suggest a lower probability. This dynamic pricing adjusts in real-time based on supply and demand, meaning the odds can shift rapidly as new information becomes available or as more traders participate in the market.
