Weather conditions and venue factors can shift expectations, particularly for outdoor sports. Media coverage and expert analysis often trigger repricing as new perspectives reach traders. Momentum swings during the lead-up—such as a team's winning or losing streak—frequently drive sharp price movements. Close to game time, late-breaking news and final lineup confirmations typically generate the most volatile trading activity as uncertainty resolves.
