On Polymarket and Kalshi, prices can vary due to differences in user base, trading volume, and design mechanics. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For example, Polymarket might attract more regional or crypto-savvy traders, skewing its odds, while Kalshi could have a larger traditional sports betting audience. Liquidity gaps also play a role—lower volume on one venue can amplify price swings after big bets. Additionally, each platform’s fee structure and order-book depth influence how quickly prices adjust to new information, such as a key batter’s form or weather changes affecting batting conditions. These factors combine to create distinct pricing landscapes even for the same question.
