This event is for the upcoming EFL Championship game, scheduled for Saturday, September 19, 2026 between Cardiff City FC and Charlton Athletic FC.
The market resolves based on the full-time result of the Cardiff vs Charlton EFL Championship soccer match scheduled for September 19, 2026. If Cardiff wins after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, the 'Cardiff' market resolves to Yes. If Charlton wins under the same conditions, the 'Charlton' market resolves to Yes. If the match ends in a tie after regular time, the 'Tie' market resolves to Yes. Should the game be cancelled or rescheduled to more than 48 hours beyond the original date, all markets resolve to a fair price. Extra time and penalty shootouts do not influence the outcome.
This market resolves to "YES" if the listed club wins after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, excluding extra time and penalty shootouts, in the match scheduled for September 19, 2026, 11:30 UTC. Otherwise, it will resolve to "NO." If the match is postponed, this market will remain open until the match has been completed. If the match is not completed as scheduled for any reason (for example, if it is abandoned, canceled, or awarded), and an official final result is recognized by the governing body or event organizers, this market will resolve based on that result. If no official final result is recognized and no make-up match is scheduled, this market will resolve "NO." Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Kalshi, often reflect a more accurate forecast than traditional sportsbook odds. This is because prediction markets incentivize participants to reveal their true beliefs, while sportsbooks must account for profit margins and potential biases. While sportsbooks set odds based on statistical models and expert analysis, this market aggregates the opinions of many individuals, creating a ‘wisdom of the crowd’ effect. However, sportsbooks often offer a wider range of betting options than are currently available in prediction markets, and may have different risk assessments. It's useful to compare both to gain a well-rounded view.
