This market refers to the volleyball match between Canada and Argentina in the FIVB Nations League, originally scheduled for July 14 at 11:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "Canada" if Canada wins the match. It will resolve to "Argentina" if Argentina wins the match. If a team withdraws, forfeits, is defaulted, or is disqualified after the match begins, this market will resolve in favor of the team officially credited with the win. If the match begins but is not completed and no winner is officially declared, this market will resolve 50-50. If the match does not begin for any reason — including cancellation, pre-match withdrawal, walkover, or forfeit before play begins — or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without play beginning, this market will resolve 50-50. Resolution will be based on official FIVB results.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they operate under different incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and protect their margin, while prediction markets are driven purely by trader supply and demand. This market may reflect sharper or more volatile pricing than traditional sportsbooks, especially as new information emerges. Comparing the two can reveal where one venue perceives edge or mispricing relative to the other, though each serves different trader preferences and regulatory environments.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader orders into continuous odds. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Shares representing each outcome trade against a liquidity pool, and the price adjusts dynamically as volume flows in. Traders profit by buying low and selling high, or by holding shares until resolution. The mechanism ensures transparent, real-time pricing without intermediaries setting the line.
This market resolves around Jul 22, 2026, once the event concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome will be confirmed based on the final match result, eliminating ambiguity about which side prevailed. Traders holding the winning shares will receive their payout automatically. Until that point, prices may fluctuate as new developments or team news influence trader expectations.
Team news—injuries, roster changes, or tactical shifts—can trigger sharp repricing as traders reassess competitive balance. Recent form, head-to-head records, and any public statements from coaches or players may also sway sentiment. Betting action from sharp money or institutional traders can signal conviction and shift odds quickly. Weather, venue conditions, or last-minute lineup announcements closer to kickoff often spark volatility. Monitor sports media and official team channels for catalysts that could reshape this market's trajectory.
