Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets like this one price outcomes based on trader consensus and real-money commitment. Comparing the two can reveal whether professional traders and casual bettors disagree on the likely winner, though both sources provide valuable context for understanding expected outcomes.

On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling shares that represent each possible outcome, with the current price reflecting the collective belief in that result. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market uses an automated market maker model, meaning prices adjust continuously as traders transact, and the cost to buy or sell shares changes based on the depth of liquidity available. Higher trading volume typically narrows spreads and improves price efficiency, allowing participants to enter and exit positions with minimal slippage. This mechanism ensures that prices remain responsive to new information and trader sentiment throughout the event window.

The outcome is determined by which team wins the majority of games in the series, with the result confirmed through official Call of Duty League records and broadcast coverage. Resolution occurs after the final game is played and results are officially confirmed, ensuring accuracy before payouts are processed. Traders should monitor official league communications and match schedules to anticipate the exact timing of resolution.

Several factors could shift trader sentiment before resolution. Recent roster changes, player performance in earlier playoff rounds, and team momentum heading into this matchup may influence expectations. Injury announcements or lineup adjustments announced before the series begins could trigger sharp price moves. Live updates during the match itself—such as early game results, map selections, or in-game performance trends—typically drive the most volatile trading activity. Analyst commentary and community discussion on esports platforms can also amplify conviction among traders, causing rapid repricing as new information emerges.
