Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts different trader demographics, fee structures, and regulatory frameworks that influence how prices converge. Polymarket typically draws larger volumes in esports and niche events, while Kalshi's structure may appeal to traders seeking different contract mechanics or risk profiles. Liquidity disparities mean one platform may lag the other when new information emerges, creating temporary spreads. Additionally, each platform's user base may have distinct views on team matchups, leading to persistent price gaps that reflect genuine disagreement rather than arbitrage opportunities.
Key catalysts include roster announcements or player substitutions, recent tournament results and team momentum, map pool updates or meta shifts in competitive Call of Duty, injury or availability news for star players, and head-to-head scrim results if leaked publicly. Media coverage and expert analysis closer to the event date often shift sentiment, especially if one team is perceived as undervalued. Live-streaming of practice or qualifier rounds can also trigger repricing as traders gain real-time performance data. Monitor official Call of Duty League announcements and team social channels for updates that could reshape expectations.
