PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi markets lack explicit resolution criteria for match-level outcomes and edge cases (forfeits, cancellations, delays). Polymarket provides granular, match-specific resolution logic with clear fallback sources and tie-breaking rules. The Kalshi wording suggests championship-level resolution rather than match-level resolution.Hero tip: Treat Polymarket and Kalshi as separate event universes. Polymarket resolves on match facts (Liquipedia + credible video evidence). Kalshi's resolution hinges on whether the match winner advances to/wins the championship—clarify with Kalshi support whether a match winner who later loses the championship causes Kalshi markets to resolve No. For hedging, use Polymarket match markets as the primary settlement reference.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Resolves on match outcomes (individual game winners, series winner, games total) based on Liquipedia official data or credible reporting within 2 hours. Forfeits/walkovers on series winner and games total resolve 50-50. Cancellations or delays beyond 7 days without play resolve 50-50. Clear binary outcomes for each market.
  • Kalshi: Two markets both resolve to Yes if either team wins the match, but wording conflates match outcome with championship victory ('Call of Duty League Championship 2026'). No explicit handling of forfeits, cancellations, delays, or incomplete matches. Lacks primary resolution source and fallback logic.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market refers to the Call of Duty Upper bracket quarterfinal 4 match between FaZe Vegas and G2 Minnesota in the Call of Duty League Championship Playoffs, initially scheduled for July 16 at 6:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "FaZe Vegas" if FaZe Vegas win the match against G2 Minnesota. This market will resolve to "G2 Minnesota" if G2 Minnesota win the match against FaZe Vegas. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/callofduty/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/callofduty/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Kalshi

Resolution is determined by the outcome of the Call of Duty League Championship 2026 match between G2 Minnesota and FaZe Vegas scheduled for July 16, 2026 at 6:00 PM EDT. The market resolves to Yes if either team wins the championship match.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction markets and sportsbooks price outcomes using different mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and extract margin, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous order books or automated market makers. This market reflects pure trader consensus without a house edge built in, often making prediction prices more responsive to new information. However, sportsbooks may incorporate sharper professional betting syndicates and real-time injury or lineup data. Comparing this market's prices to major sportsbook lines can reveal where public perception diverges from professional consensus.

Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform operates distinct market structures: Polymarket uses an automated market maker, while Kalshi employs an order-book model. Liquidity, user base composition, and fee structures vary between them, causing temporary price gaps. Traders on one platform may react faster to roster changes or scrim results, while the other lags. Additionally, different user demographics and risk tolerances can skew odds in either direction. These spreads typically narrow as the event date approaches and arbitrageurs exploit mispricings.
