These markets evaluate how many points are scored in a specific quarter of a college football game between California and Syracuse. Each market has a different threshold for the total points scored by both teams during the second quarter of the game.
The markets resolve based on the total points scored by both California and Syracuse during the second quarter of their college football game scheduled for September 12, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold, and if the combined points exceed that threshold, the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. Points counted are exclusively those scored during the second quarter. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the market remains open and resolves based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the market resolves to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set their odds based on statistical models and expert analysis, aiming to balance action on both sides and ensure profitability. This market, however, allows anyone to trade on their beliefs, leading to odds that can shift rapidly as new information emerges or public opinion changes. It's common to see prediction markets outperform traditional sportsbooks, especially as the event draws nearer and more information becomes available.
This market resolves around Sep 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final point total scored in the 2nd quarter of the California vs Syracuse game will be used to determine whether the ‘over’ or ‘under’ contract wins. The resolution will be based on official game statistics, ensuring an objective and verifiable result. Traders will be able to see the final outcome reflected in their account balances shortly after the game concludes.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the California or Syracuse teams would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to impact scoring, could also shift the odds. Unexpected announcements about starting lineups or coaching strategies could also play a role. Finally, public perception and betting patterns themselves can create momentum, driving the price of contracts up or down as traders react to new information and each other’s actions.
