These markets evaluate how many points California and Syracuse will score in the first quarter of their college football game on September 12, 2026. Each market has a different threshold for the total points scored, and the outcome depends on whether the combined score exceeds that threshold.
The markets resolve based on the total points scored by both California and Syracuse in the first quarter of their college football game scheduled for September 12, 2026. For each market, if the combined score exceeds the specified threshold (ranging from 2.5 to 27.5 points), the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. Only points scored during the first quarter count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the market remains open and resolves based on the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the market resolves to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, and can sometimes differ from those offered by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set initial lines to balance betting action, while this market’s prices are driven purely by supply and demand. It's common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or breaking news. Examining these differences can be insightful, as the market may incorporate information not yet fully reflected in traditional odds, or may simply represent a different assessment of probabilities.
This market resolves around Sep 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final points scored in the first quarter of the California vs Syracuse game will be used to determine whether the total was over or under the relevant threshold. The resolution will be based on official game statistics, and will be reported on Kalshi once verified. Traders holding contracts on the correct side of the outcome will receive a payout.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the California or Syracuse teams would likely cause movement. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to impact scoring, could also shift prices. Even late-breaking news about team strategies or coaching decisions could influence trader sentiment. As the game approaches, real-time updates and pre-game analysis will likely drive increased volume and price fluctuations in this market.
