Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. This market may show higher or lower implied probabilities than traditional sports betting sites, depending on which venue's participants have stronger conviction. Comparing the two can reveal where informed traders see value relative to conventional bookmakers.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader buy and sell orders into real-time odds. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current implied probability reflects the cumulative positions of all traders; as more capital flows into one outcome, its price rises and the opposing outcome's price falls. You can enter limit or market orders to trade at your preferred price, and the spread between bid and ask represents the current liquidity gap.
This market resolves around Jul 25, 2026, once the second half result is finalized and verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome will reflect which team achieves the result specified in the market's terms—whether a win, draw, or loss for the named side. Resolution typically occurs shortly after the match concludes and official confirmation is available, at which point all positions settle according to the final determination.
Key catalysts include team news such as injuries, lineup changes, or tactical shifts announced before kickoff. Pre-match analysis from credible sports journalists and expert commentary can shift trader sentiment. Live betting sentiment and early-match momentum often influence prices as new information emerges. Weather conditions, referee assignments, and recent form updates may also prompt repricing. Close to the event, final odds from major sportsbooks and last-minute roster confirmations typically drive the most significant moves in this market.
