Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market incorporates a broader range of information and opinions from traders. If there's a significant discrepancy, it may suggest that the market believes the sportsbook has mispriced the probability of a particular outcome. It's important to note that both represent probabilities, but are derived through different mechanisms.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores. The price of each share reflects the market's current assessment of the probability of that score occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust accordingly, providing a real-time indication of market sentiment. The total volume traded influences the depth and liquidity of the market, impacting how easily traders can enter and exit positions.

Furthermore, pre-match analysis from football experts and public sentiment expressed on social media could all contribute to movements in the market price as traders react to new information.
