This market will resolve to "Draw" if Burnley FC and Middlesbrough FC score the same number of goals in the second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time. This market will resolve to "Middlesbrough FC" if Middlesbrough FC score more goals than Burnley FC in the second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time. If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve to "Draw". This market refers only to the outcome within the second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time. First-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics published by the governing body or event organizers. If the governing body or event organizers have not published final statistics within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used. Revisions to officially published final statistics made after market resolution will not be considered in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 48 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds in this market often differ from traditional sportsbook lines due to trader dynamics and real-time adjustments. While sportsbooks may release fixed odds early, market participants on Polymarket continuously update prices based on new information, such as team news or in-game momentum. This can create tighter spreads or sharper movements compared to sportsbook offerings. Traders might also reflect nuances not fully captured by sportsbook models, such as tactical changes or crowd impact, leading to divergent pricing on key outcomes.
Key signals such as starting lineups, in-game events like red cards or substitutions, and momentum shifts can all move this market. Injury updates to key players, tactical changes by the manager, or crowd influence may also affect trader sentiment. As the match progresses, real-time scoring or possession statistics often cause rapid price adjustments. Any development that impacts the perceived likelihood of each second-half result can lead to noticeable changes in odds and volume on Polymarket.
